What is Surrogacy?

Surrogacy is a method by which a woman carries the baby of another woman, who is unable to conceive or carry a fetus full term. When the woman is unable to carry a baby to term, her egg and the man’s sperm is fertilized and an embryo is created by IVF. This egg is then implanted into the surrogate mother. This ensures that the couple gets their genetic off spring. The surrogate mother has no relation to the child and gives it up after delivery.
